DAIRY FREE CHOCOLATE CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST STICKS

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices of bread

  • Dairy Free chocolate spread

  • 2 eggs

  • Splash of oat milk

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • 1tsp butter

For the coating:

  • ½ cup sugar

  • A few tablespoons of cinnamon


  • Syrup, for topping


  • Fresh fruit, for topping



Method:

  • Cut the crusts off the bread and roll using a rolling pin

  • Slice into rectangles and spread with chocolate spread

  • Fold the rectangles in half

  • In a bowl, mix together the eggs, milk and cinnamon

  • Spray the pan with oil and allow the teaspoon of butter to melt

  • Coat the bread in the egg mixture and immediately transfer to the pan

  • Cook on each side until golden brown


  • In a plate, mix together the sugar and cinnamon until well combined


  • Cover the French toast  with the cinnamon sugar mix


  • When all the sticks have been coated, transfer to a plate and top with syrup and fresh fruit


  • Enjoy!
