HOMEMADE SALT AND PEPPER BREAD
Ingredients:
450g strong white bread flour
1x7g sachet fast-action dried yeast
2tsp salt, plus extra for dusting
3tbsp extra virgin olive oil, and extra for brushing
1tsp black pepper, plus extra for dusting
Method:
Preheat the oven to 200C
Cover a baking tray with baking paper
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl
Use your hands to from a dough
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead the dough
Shape the dough into what shape you want and place on prepared baking trays, making sure there is some space between each one
Cover with clingfilm and place in warm place for 30 minutes
Take of clingfilm and brush bread with oil and salt and pepper
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes
Serve with soup or as a side dish or simply just have it on its own
