HOMEMADE SALT AND PEPPER BREAD

Ingredients:

  • 450g strong white bread flour

  • 1x7g sachet fast-action dried yeast

  • 2tsp salt, plus extra for dusting

  • 3tbsp extra virgin olive oil, and extra for brushing

  • 1tsp black pepper, plus extra for dusting


Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 200C

  • Cover a baking tray with baking paper

  • Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl

  • Use your hands to from a dough

  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and knead the dough

  • Shape the dough into what shape you want and place on prepared baking trays, making sure there is some space between each one

  • Cover with clingfilm and place in warm place for 30 minutes

  • Take of clingfilm and brush bread with oil and salt and pepper

  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes

  • Serve with soup or as a side dish or simply just have it on its own

  • Enjoy!
